Andrés Ciccone (b. 1991, Venezuela) is an Italo-Venezuelan artist based in New York City. His work explores themes of migration, chaos, and the passage of time, using materials rich in conceptual and political significance. He describes his process as:

“I collect various kinds of information, transform it into material, project it, make sketches, analyze it in parts, and infuse it with the essence of painting.”

Shaped by his family’s migratory history—an Italian father who emigrated to Venezuela after World War II and a Venezuelan mother who fled political turmoil in 2008—Ciccone’s art examines memory through time, space, and place. Having lived in Berlin, Lisbon, Mexico City, New York, and Ferrara, he engages with themes of globalization and displacement.

As a geometrical abstraction artist, he experiments with geometry and different shapes, transforming them into allegories as a medium of hidden communication. His work combines acrylic, ink, wood, and sculptural elements to create compositions that distort space and generate movement.

Ciccone has exhibited at Berlin Art Week, Miami Art Fair, and various solo shows around Europe and America, as well as group exhibitions in Belgium, Portugal, Mexico, Germany, and France, alongside artists such as Agnes Martin, Alice Aycock, Henry Taylor, and Danny Fox.
