《太阳融化》是一部结合摄影与视听元素的作品，它探讨了我们与图像以及现实之间的关系。通过物理上对照片进行处理，运用诸如太阳化（一种摄影技术）等手法，并将带有科学和媒体风格外观的虚构文件融入其中，该项目有意模糊界限，质疑图像如何影响我们对世界的感知。
通过一种迷幻的美学风格和沉浸式的叙事手法，《太阳融化》描绘了太阳的虚幻消融景象。这一令人不安的景象成为了一种现实消解的隐喻，其中信息被重组和篡改，从而改变了我们辨别真假的能力。该作品探讨了当代叙事如何塑造我们的信念，逐渐促使我们向一种以虚构为特征的新常态转变。
这种不确定性也与我们对气候危机的态度产生了共鸣。面对灾难的严重性，出现了一种悖论：紧迫性愈发明显时，我们反而变得愈发被动，仿佛无力采取行动。《太阳融化》将这种茫然的状态表现了出来，即崩溃似乎就在眼前发生，而我们却无力阻止，就像太阳在地平线上缓缓消融一般。这种状态就像是一幅画面，让我们看到崩溃正在发生，却无力阻止，仿佛无力改变什么。
在整个驻地期间，该项目几乎是自然而然地发展起来的，完全由其自身的直觉所引导。最初只是一个关于图像和材料的实验，后来逐渐发展成为对当代生活中意义丧失这一现象更广泛的反思。自然而然地，《熔化太阳》这个作品与我们似乎已经放弃了怀疑的态度这一印象联系得越来越紧密，仿佛通过退后一步，我们发现生活本身就像一部影片，其连贯性正在崩塌。这种不由自主的疏离让我们不得不以一种新的视角去观察现实，同时又因意识到其日益增长的荒谬性而感到不安。
通过将观众置于一个被扭曲的现实之中，《太阳融化》不仅探讨了影像本身：它还将其变成了一个充满怀疑的实验室。通过在技术实验、幻觉与意识之间游走，这件作品不仅质疑了我们所看到的东西，还质疑了我们选择相信的东西。
Melting Sun is a photographic and audiovisual work that explores our relationship with images and reality. By physically manipulating photographs, using techniques such as solarization, and incorporating fictional documents with a scientific and media-like appearance, this project intentionally blurs boundaries, questioning how images influence our perception of the world.
Through a hypnotic aesthetic and immersive storytelling, Melting Sun depicts the imaginary melting of the sun. This disturbing vision becomes a metaphor for a reality in dissolution, where information, recomposed and manipulated, alters our ability to distinguish truth from falsehood. The work examines how contemporary narratives shape our beliefs, creating a gradual shift toward a fiction that imposes itself as the new norm.
This sense of uncertainty also resonates with our relationship to the climate crisis. Faced with the magnitude of the disaster, a paradox arises: the more evident the urgency becomes, the more we remain passive, as if powerless to act. Melting Sun translates this state of stupefaction, where collapse seems to unfold before our eyes without our ability to stop it, like a sun slowly dissolving on the horizon.
Throughout the residency, the project evolved almost organically, guided by its own intuitions. What started as an experiment with image and material gradually converged into a broader reflection on the loss of meaning in contemporary life. Naturally, Melting Sun became increasingly linked to the impression that we had suspended our disbelief, as if, by stepping back, we discovered that life itself resembled a film whose coherence is crumbling. An involuntary distancing that forces us to observe reality with a new perspective, disturbed by the awareness of its growing absurdity.
By confronting the viewer with an altered reality, Melting Sun does not merely explore the image: it turns it into a laboratory of doubt. By playing on the boundary between technical experimentation, illusion, and awareness, the work questions not only what we see, but also what we choose to believe.
